Welcome to Ask What's Kraken!

This blog is an effort to pay it forward to the new Junior officers of the Navy in a way that resonates with the goal a self improvement, telling Sea Stories, sharing experiences, slipping a little gouge around, and some good humor. The title of the website was created one faithful watch where I did what any unqualified JOOD does. I looked out the window and reflected every life choice that led to that moment. Well, I was making more money than I could spend so my numerous mistakes didn't land me in too bad of a spot. Boredom is often the best inspiration to what your mind can do so I started writing down 2 things every time we had a slow watch. Reflections of what I've been doing in the Navy, and.... Jokes.
